Cultural Diversity: Understanding the impact of cultural differences on co-op students and the people who work with them

Lionel Laroche is a professional life coach. He is a dynamic, entertaining, and experienced instructor who has provided cross-cultural training, coaching and consulting services to over 25,000 people in nine countries. He has also published 2 books relevant to the subject of Cultural Diversity, “Recruiting, Retaining and Promoting Culturally Different Employees” and “Cultural Diversity in Technical Professions”.

Many people studying in Canadian universities were born and raised outside of Canada. When they work with university staff and/or employers and co-workers, cultural differences can result in significant misunderstandings, even when everyone involved has the best intentions at heart. This presentation, delivered by dynamic presenter Lionel Laroche, examines these differences, explains their root causes and provides tips and suggestions on how to deal with them effectively.
