Since 1999, I have been using some of the experiences above in the classroom, to teach children and adults about mathematics and teamwork.

University of Exeter

Since the fall of 2002, I have been studying some of these topics at the School of Education of the University of Exeter (UK).

Their PhD programme is giving me a chance to have a closer look at the thinking processes behind these explorations, and their applicability in a didactic environment.

Jumpy the Wumpy

Besides liking to eat fish parts, including the heads (hence the name), my cat took me on daily walk, and there was almost always something interesting to observe, whether it was his highly political interaction with other felines, or the birds that were simulating attacks on him to chase him away from their nest.

Jumpy unfortunately tried to take his love of life across a busy street once too often and is now in the eternal hunting grounds in the sky.

My paternal Grandfather

My Grandfather is probably the person who has had the most profound and lasting influence on my work. Ever since I was little, he has been working with me on my wildest projects, giving me an opportunity to experiment and explore such different media as paper, wood, metal, wax, paint, and many others.

Tame the Wind, Listen to the Silence

They say up there the silence is absolute... someday I would like to ride on a hot air balloon without a specific destination or learn to glide.
