I grew up in Montreal, where I went to school in French. Growing up, I often visited Switzerland, from where my parents emigrated, and where my extended family was located.
I am a lifelong learner. After an undergraduate degree (architecture) and masters (aménagement) and a few years of work in industry (architecture and graphic arts), I completed a PhD in education (focusing on mathematics). Most recently and following the pursuit of a Visual Arts Certificate in Studio: Textiles/Fashion from NSCAD (Class of 2017), I am re-learning to design and create websites.
Since 2005, I am a full-time faculty at Mount Saint Vincent University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I teach pre-service and in-service teachers how to teach mathematics. My research there focuses on the relationship between making (art), mathematics and learning.
Previously, I worked as a graphic artist, webmaster and architect, both in Canada and in Switzerland.
